Artist Bio
Chris Newcomb, the artist behind the music project Arrington, is a singer/songwriter from Richmond, VA. Chris is a champion of the underdog! He writes songs that uplift the spirit, touch the heart, and feed the soul. Arrington will be releasing his first record called Chasing Destiny in the fall of 2025 together with an accompanying book called Chasing Destiny: Songs for Journey of Life. While he writes across genres, he is a rocker at heart!
Having been the underdog countless times in his life, he knows from experience and training working as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist and Wellness Coach in three spaces (mental health, substance abuse recovery and personal fitness and safety), just how to reach those he mentors with sincerity, compassion, insight and humor. And most of all, his joy is to see the light bulb of inspiration light up in the eyes of those he supports so they can chase the dreams of their hearts!

More about the Great Busk
The Great Busk is more than a music competition—it's a celebration of immigrant voices and community creativity. Each performer you see is using their talent not just to shine, but to support something bigger: bilingual education, newcomer wellness, and access to opportunity and to arts education.
Every dollar you give goes toward free programs offered by Capaz+IT, helping immigrant youth and adults build skills, find careers, and tell their stories. Funds also go to help provide access to music education for all individuals in Richmond regardless of zip code or financial means.
And here's the twist: the artist who raises the most wins The Great Busk—so when you donate, you're not only supporting the cause, you're backing this performer’s journey.
